Collection: Fischersund

When Björk sings how the tiniest spark glowed in a forest pitch-dark, she somehow also captures the vibe of the Icelandic perfume brand’s flagship store, located at Fischersund 3 in the midst of Reykjavík. The little dark, wooden house, on a backstreet, contains the fragrance spark which creates a whole universe of scent where walls of dried moss and an old book on folklore on the windowsill fit perfectly. There is also a musical organ where the pipes are replaced by scents – for there is another link between the perfume and Icelandic music: In 2017, Jónsi, visual artist and musician of Sigur Rós fame, started the brand with his family, and the organ inspired him to create fragrances. Today, the brand has several ranges of fragrances: the first No. 23, No. 8 Heimisilmur (home fragrances), No. 101, and No 54 which is a homage to their father's workshop. And the scents? Like you would expect – wild, nature-bound and original with notes like moss, birch tar, seaweed, rhubarb, chervil, and angelica. Sprays, perfumes in oil and solid form – and printed bandanas, poems, scented candles and incense complete the range.
