Collection: Magliano

Magliano is already known for runway shows in unusual, abandoned spaces – and for his A/W 2024 show designer Luca Magliano had his excentric models walk down and up a giant staircase. His own steps in fashion started at a young age, where fabrics triggered his fantasy. Later he graduated from Libera Università delle Arti in Bologna as a “small-town boy”, a character which still fascinates him. The style of “provincia”, Italian subculture and the legacy of Fellini and Pasolini inspired him to start his own namesake collection in 2017 after working for Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Manuela Arcari. Magliano’s garments have been described as “wretched couture” with a dishevelled aesthetic. Gender-fluid oversized knits with playful details and deconstructed sportswear create a grungy Italian dandy-look. When Magliano was awarded LVMH's Karl Lagerfeld Prize in 2023, he expressed his gratitude by saying “It’s a beautiful feeling to be seen.” And Magliano pieces clearly deserve to be seen.
